Combine Your Flight Training with A Series of Academic Courses
College Pathway Programs for International Students
Due to limited Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) allocations, international students may consider enrolling in an approved college program in partnership with our flight training.
Under these pathways, students are admitted through a Canadian public post-secondary institution and complete academic coursework toward a diploma or degree, while completing their professional flight training with Pacific Professional Flight Centre at Boundary Bay Airport (CZBB).
This structure allows students to pursue both academic credentials and professional pilot training within a coordinated framework.
Students may choose between the following partner institutions:

University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) – Business Diploma (Aviation)
The University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) is a public university in British Columbia offering a Business Diploma with an aviation focus. This pathway combines aviation training with business education, which may benefit students interested in airline management, aviation operations, or entrepreneurship within the aviation industry.
The flight training portion (Private Pilot License and Commercial Pilot License) of the program is completed at a flight school of your choice. 30 credits will be applied in recognition of Transport Canada licences:
- Private Pilot Licence (PPL) (6 credits)
- Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) (24 credits)
Once these licences and ratings are obtained, you will receive academic credit toward your UFV Business Diploma. You may complete your flight certifications before, during, or after your business coursework.
