Industry Proven Program
Pro has been providing flight training since 1986. We are one of Canada’s largest and most respected flight training institutes. Our courses are designed through consultation with leading aviation experts and veterans, providing students with the essential knowledge, skill set, and confidence required to be successful pilots in today and tomorrow’s aviation industry. With excellent industry support and local carriers actively recruiting our students, Pro graduates have received great recognition from domestic and international employers.
Our home base used to be at the Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and had to relocate to the Boundary Bay Airport (CZBB) because of our large fleet size. Can you spot our Twin Duchess from the photo? This was taken at YVR airport while it was still Pro’s home base.

Pro is a Designated Learning Institution (DLI # O19238920192) approved by Government of Canada, designated by the Private Training Institutions Branch of the Ministry of Advanced Education (PTIB) (ID-00735) and has received the Education Quality Assurance (EQA) designation from the Ministry of Advanced Education.
Standardized Digital Flight Training Syllabus
Pro’s digital training syllabus provides students with their entire training record online, grouped by lesson plans. Each lesson plan is carefully designed by our team of industry experts to prepare students to be successful pilots in today and tomorrow’s aviation industry. Being able to see and review training progress online at any time, helps students stay on track and come better prepared and with confidence to their next lesson. Lesson plans also give students all of the information and reading references they need to know prior to each flight lesson, so students come prepared to maximize the learning efficiency during each lesson.
University Program
Professional Flight Centre has partnered with Douglas College to offer the Associate of Arts for Future Professional Pilots program.
The classroom academics are taught at Douglas College, one of BC’s largest community colleges. This full-time, 60-credit Associate of Arts program includes courses closely related to the aviation industry, such as geography, business and psychology. All of the courses are university transferable giving you the option to further your education. The flight training portion of the program is provided here at Professional Flight Centre, where you will obtain your Private Pilot License, Commercial Pilot License and Multi-engine Instrument Rating. These components together will provide you with the foundation you need for a career in the today and tomorrow’s aviation industry.
Large Fleet
Pro has an impressive fleet of 23 modern aircraft from the Cessna 152 to Cessna 172, G1000 equipped Cirrus SR-20 to IFR certified Diamond DA42 and Piper PA-44 Seminole, plus two RedBird Full Motion IFR Simulators. Our fleet is maintained by our in-house maintenance facility to ensure the highest standard of safety and maximum flexibility in your training schedule. See our fleet here.
Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO)
Our own Aircraft Maintenance Organization (AMO), Pro Aircraft Maintenance, operates out of a modern 10,000 sq/ft facility at our Boundary Bay Airport (CZBB) location and provides comprehensive service to pilots, corporate and commercial clients from all over the Pacific Northwest. Being able to maintain our fleet at our own AMO has enabled us to maintain maximum dispatch reliability at all times.
Location
We are conveniently located at the Boundary Bay Regional Airport (CZBB), which is about 20 minutes from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and less than 40 minutes from downtown Vancouver, Surrey and the US Border. You can get to Professional Flight Centre by car, bus or bike. Public transit is definitely recommended. We are just 200m (2 minutes walk) from the bus stop. If you do drive, there is plenty of onsite free parking available.
Culture
Our school is culturally diverse. We have trained pilots from over 40 countries encompassing all four corners of the globe. We do not charge additional flight training fees for international students. We are well versed in the special needs that our out-of-country guests may need and we always go out of our way to make your stay a positive one in every way possible.
