A tribute to dedication, leadership, and excellence in aviation training
In fond memories of Gautham Santhosh, we are providing this scholarship to recognize students who demonstrate strong academic performance in Transport Canada written examinations. Beginning in 2026, the scholarship is awarded to students who obtain a minimum score of 90% on a Transport Canada written examination.
- Qualified Private Pilot License (PPL) candidates will be granted a $100 training credit.
- Qualified Commercial Pilot License (CPL) candidates will be granted a $150 training credit.

Eligibility & Conditions
- Applicant must be a registered student at Professional Flight Centre and have taken or are attending Professional Pilot Ground School.
- Scholarship awards are issued as account credits only
- Credits have no cash value
- Credits can only be used toward flight training at Professional Flight Centre
- Credits are non-transferable
A Lasting Legacy
Gautham was a dedicated member of the Professional Flight Centre community. He completed his Private Pilot License (PPL), Commercial Pilot License (CPL), and Multi-IR Rating at Pro, and later served as our Head Dispatcher.
Having experienced the student journey firsthand, Gautham brought deep understanding, professionalism, and care to his role, supporting students and instructors each day with a strong commitment to safety and excellence.
Gautham was involved in a plane crash in July 2025 while working as an equipment operator on an aerial survey operation with Kisik Aerial Survey Inc in Deer Lake, Newfoundland and Labrador (News Link).
A GoFundMe campaign was created by the members of Pro community to help his family cover funeral, transportation, and related expenses. The outpouring of support reflected how deeply Gautham was respected and cared for by his colleagues, Pro students, and friends.
We are honored to remember Gautham in a way that reflects who he was and what he contributed to our school. We hope this scholarship encourages students to aim higher, work harder, and carry forward the professionalism that defined Gautham.
