There is no need to pay the full tuition amount in advance. Students are charged by “flight time” following each training session. This is the time recorded from engine start to engine stop. The hobbs meter in the aircraft keeps track of this time in .1 hour intervals (6-minute intervals). The training cost is the same for domestic and international students.
Some students pay after each lesson and some start an account. You can pay with cash, cheque, mastercard, visa, and debit card.
Boundary Bay has several practice areas in the near vicinity so time transiting to the practice area is kept to a minimum. Doing circuits (practicing landings and take-offs) at Boundary Bay is inexpensive compared to other airports as well, because the circuit altitude is 800 feet above ground, as opposed to 1000 feet as most airports are, so you save time and can do more touch-and-gos in an hour!!
